Woven Fabrics

The most common woven fabrics are canvas, linen and muslin weaves. If you think of a sort of plain weave like a cross pattern with up and down warp and weft, or the up and down direction of the yarns, this is woven fabric.

Woven fabrics unlike knit fabrics are typically a tighter weave and don't have much stretch or give. They also tend to have a higher tensile strength than knit fabrics.
